Education

In Slovenia, Nuclear Engineering can only be studied at the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics at the University of Ljubljana. The course is internationally recognized and is taught within the framework of European association ENEN.

Members of Reactor Engineering Division represent the core of this programme.

Studies are organized in two cycles:

M.Sc. in Nuclear Engineering

The program takes place as the second Bologna cycle and lasts for two years (120 ECTS). To enrol, students are required to have completed a three year program (180 ECTS) of any natural sciences or engineering faculty.

Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering

The program takes place as the third Bologna cycle and lasts for three years (180 ECTS). Any student who finished the second cycle (300 ECTS) of any natural sciences or engineering faculty can enrol.

Training

Members of Reactor Engineering Division participate at training sessions that are organised by Nuclear Training Centre of Jo┼żef Stefan Institute (ICJT).
