On September 27th 2016 the "Jožef Stefan" Institute signed a cooperation agreement with the French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA). Representatives of both institutions, the director of the Institute prof. dr. Jadran Lenarčič and the Director Commissioner Daniel Verwaerde have met in Vienna at the jubilee 60th session of the General Conference of International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). Slovenian and French delegations agreed that this signing is an important new step towards further strengthening of cooperation between the two countries in the scientific field. The agreement will allow the deepening of knowledge with an even closer cooperation between the Slovenian and French researchers and contribute to strengthening of research and development in the field of nuclear energy.
