Welcome to the Reactor Engineering Division!

We are the sole internationally recognized research group active in nuclear engineering and nuclear safety in Slovenia. Our research, education and consultancy activities contribute to the development of technical and human resources supporting the safe operation of nuclear facilities and to the advancement of nuclear science in Slovenia and beyond.

Open position for a researcher in the THELMA laboratory

Are you a post-doc with experience in experimental research of single and/or two-phase fluid flows? Are you looking for a new opportunity working on experiments with two-phase flows and boiling phenomena including the Critical Heat Flux? We have an open position for a researcher in the newly built THELMA laboratory, which is fully operational and equipped with the state-of-the-art measuring instrumentation.

Expected qualifications include:

  • Background in fluid dynamics and heat transfer, e.g. Physics, Mechanical engineering, etc.
  • Preferably 3 or more years of experience with conducting experimental work in a laboratory handling different measuring instruments, e.g. Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV), high-speed cameras, thermocouples, mass flow meters, pressure sensors, etc.
  • Experience with calibration of instruments
  • Good communication skills

Send a CV and motivation letter to Leon.Cizelj@ijs.si.
