The HARMONISE project in cooperation with the ECC-Smart Project and support by the ELSMOR project is organizing

Workshop on the Safety of Small Modular, Advanced and Fusion Reactors
Celje, Slovenia, June 20-21, 2023

The safety and licensing aspects of the advanced nuclear reactors and facilities are crucial for reliable, safe and competitive construction and operation of future nuclear facilities. The Workshop participants will discuss the opportunities and challenges in researching and developing the technical approaches, methods and criteria for the development of safety cases of future nuclear facilities, which form the basis for the licensing process.

The two-day workshop (starting at 10:00 on June 20 and ending at 17 on June 21) will be devoted to the technical presentations by participants of projects HARMONISE, ECC-SMART and ELSMOR, which will be enriched with insight from guests active in international organizations dealing with nuclear and non-nuclear safety cases and regulations.

The workshop will bring together the European and international efforts to promote, sustain and increase the stakeholder’s awareness on the on-going efforts to develop strong safety cases for small modular, advanced and fusion reactors.
